Introduction
How to use this job search book
When you first receive this complete guide book for your job search, read the book from cover to cover. It won’t take too much time because it is quite concise.
In doing this I encourage you to read the chapters that don’t seem to apply to you. For example, there are 4 separate chapters covering “Preparing For The Search” for 4 different employment levels. Please read them all no matter what your level; it will take just a few minutes and will get you better prepared.
When you have finished doing this, if there are chapters that particularly apply to you, you might want to re-read them and dwell on these for an hour or two before putting yourself into overdrive and launching your job search. Because from this moment until you are in your new job, it’s all about action not ‘dwelling’ on anything.
Ok, now you are in control. Let’s get started. I have tried to make it easy because getting started is always the hardest. So, if you go to the Preparing For The Search chapter for your own employment level you will be well on your way. Make sure, though that when you get to your Resume, get it done as quickly as possible by whichever described means best applies to you. Then, it’s Prospect, Contact, Interview with no let up, no matter what, until you succeed.
This book is alphabetical for a reason. Throughout your search every time you hit a wall or start to feel your momentum slipping, pull out the book, scan the Contents, find the applicable chapters you need, read them, and hit the ground running again.
Don’t let anything stop you from succeeding. As you will see in the following pages, there is nothing that can stop you.
Ok, enough of this. I’m keeping you from getting on with it. So it's time to get off your ass and get out there and find the job you want. Go For It. I want you to do it – for YOU.
